Ronald Sallmann is CDO of the Austrian Association of Cities and Towns and also Managing Director of IT-Kommunal GmbH, the IT service provider of the Austrian Association of Cities and Towns. He is a lecturer at the FH Campus Wien, Public Management degree program, in the core subject of e-government.
He is CDO of the Austrian Association of Cities and Towns and in this role is responsible for centrally representing the strategic interests of the member municipalities in the area of digitalization and e-government. Representative of the municipal level in various committees and working groups. He is Managing Director of IT-Kommunal GmbH. IT-Kommunal GmbH operates e-government services such as online form collections, an Austrian administration cloud and a platform for collaboration, communication and documentation in social media style for public institutions. Around 60% of all Austrian cities and municipalities use IT-Kommunal services.
